On September 14th, Justdiggit launches the ‘The Raindance Project’ at the Vondelpark Openluchttheater in Amsterdam, with simultaneous climate events in Kenya and Tanzania which will be connected live. Entrance will be free of charge.

Musicians, DJ’s, comedians, dancers, scientists, speakers and wisdom keepers unite on stage. A diverse collection of acts such as De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig, André Kuipers, Akwasi, Naaz, Donnie and The Flexican will move an all ages crowd for a greener planet!

By bringing back nature we can mitigate droughts and global warming, a key solution to climate change. The Raindance Project 2020-2030 is a true decade plan and an open invitation to the rest of the world to join and participate. Together with international partners such as the UN Environment Programme it is the time to change the course of our narrative as humans.






Is the entrance to The Raindance Project free of charge?

Yes it is! Please come by and bring your friends and/or children to the Vondelpark

Are there any age restrictions for attending the event?

Not at all. A diverse collection of acts such as De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig, André Kuipers, Akwasi, Naaz, Donnie and The Flexican will move an all ages crowd for a greener planet! Please note youngsters need to be at least 18 to drink alcohol.

At what time does the event start and at what time does the event end?

Doors open at 12:00pm (CET) and will close at 20:30 pm (CET). Please come in early not the miss André Kuipers reflecting on witnessing "Earth Rise" from space. In case the Vondelpark Openluchttheater is packed, you can follow the event on a big LED screen at 'het Picassoveld' located next to the venue.

How do I get to The Raindance Project?

The Vondelpark Openluchttheater is easily accessible by either foot, bicycle or public transport. Just make sure you leave your car at home, if you have any. The navigational adress is Vondelpark 5a in Amsterdam.

Does The Raindance Project avoid serving single use plastic cups at the bars?

The Raindance Project will use a re-usable hardcup deposit system at the bars. Way better for the environment and no more disposable plastic on the festival grounds.

Is the Raindance Project in the Vondelpark running on green energy?

Yes the whole event is powered by Greenchoice and uses renewable energy from a natural source.

Will there be a wide range of food and drinks available?

We serve al kinds of (non)alcoholic drinks and vegetarian/vegan/glutenfee meals. Yummie, going plant-based is the future!

Are there lockers available?

No, we are a publicly accessible event and don't offer a locker service.

What facilities will there be for disabled guests/wheelchairs?

The Venue is 100% wheel-chair friendly and accessible for all!

Can i also visit The Raidance Project events in Kenya and Tanzania?

No, we are sorry. These rural events belong to the local communities in vicinity of the event. Publicly accessible and free of charge Raindance events will be held in rural and drought-stricken areas on the African continent. This has never been done before. Through infotainment, local farming communities will be inspired to re-green their own land.

I've lost my belongings at the Festival. What can I do?

We will collect all lost properties and upload it into iLost. iLost is a digital platform where you can enter the item you’ve lost in the search window or enter the name of the event where you lost your belongings. Here you can regain your belongings.
